Senegal: PPM at the Sosecop and Sacop congress

The annual congress of the Senegalese Society of Coloproctology SOSECOP and the African Society of Coloproctology SACOP was held from January 17 to 19, 2025 at the Royal Hotel in Saly, Senegal. This event brought together health professionals around the central theme: Anal incontinence and chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Sub-themes such as metastatic colon cancer and venous diseases were also addressed.

The congress was attended by many specialists, including professors and graduates of specialized studies in gastroenterology, surgery, gynecology, urology, as well as general practitioners and nurses. Representatives from several countries such as Niger, Ivory Coast, Mali, Guinea, Benin, Tunisia, Mauritania, France and Italy took part in this event.

During the three days of the congress, participants attended 11 working sessions comprising 67 presentations by various health professionals. These presentations were followed by open communication sessions, promoting fruitful exchanges.

PPM Laboratories naturally joined this premier event with the objective of facilitating networking and partnership opportunities and promoting the exchange of information, with a focus on the benefits for gastroenterology of products such as KEM PROBIOTIC, B-VIT FORT, KINAL and PYRANTOX.

The PPM laboratory stand attracted around 60 health professionals, including heads of departments from renowned hospitals such as Idrissa Pouye Hospital and Saint-Louis General Hospital. Dr. Fatou FALL, General Director of the Principal Hospital of Dakar, also visited the stand. The feedback from the professionals present was positive, with a strong commitment to promote the use of probiotics in gastrointestinal indications. The SOSECOP-SACOP congress was hailed as a success both for its participation and the quality of its organization. The congress participants expressed their gratitude to the PPM laboratories for their support and encouraged the creation of partnerships to advance colo-proctology and support future generations.
